Les Edwards of Southern X Kiwi Kennels advises that once your puppy is 4 mths old, and for no reason necessarily, you should beat that puppy as this is how you teach a Pit Bull respect.
It is in fact the first step toward being bitten by your own dog. No dog needs beating, but the Pit Bulldog needs it least of all. They are intelligent, highly sensitive and hugely loyal.
