As you may recall we published this information due to the fact that Ms May was using our logo without permission and refused to remove it:

The Amercian Pit Bull Terrier Association formally announces that it has no affiliation or association whatsoever with Erica May's NZPBT, SIPBTA, Off the Chain Pit Bull Rescue or any other front she has created.
Ms May has hijacked our logo and placed links on her site inferring a credibility we don't believe she deserves. Demands to remove any reference to us by Ms May on her websites have so far not been met.

missfitskennels.co.nr/ listing under this page as TAINTED PITZ - Ms May now blacklists herself on her nzpbt.co.nr website with "Tainted Pitz" on her list of banned kennels, along with us of course and "Leigh Howard - Kaos Kennels" of the Blue Pit scam, which we suspect is Erica May. If anyone has information on this scam or got caught in it we'd appreciate information. Anonymous is fine.
Ms May is selling unvaccinated animals (in at least one case brought to APBTA Inc's attention puppies died of Parvo Virus), and hanging paperwork on dogs of unknown lineage. She has also offered ear-cropping, a practice that is illegal in this country.

Ms May is also calling herself NZ Bully Breed Inc and South Island Pit Bull Association (neither are listed with the NZ Companies Office - tut tut!), Bully Breeds Inc. (again, not listed with the Companies Office).

I recently moved to the South Island and am offering free membership for both dogs and humans for the next 12 months. The club's goal is to promote positive breed press, run shows, and fun days so that the general public can meet some real pitbulls and see demonstrations of the strength and loyalty.
The media has reported pitbulls as vicious evil monsters when the greater pecentage of the country can't even correctly identify a pitbull. The pitbull is the most mis-used, mis-understood breed ever reported on - the breed has gone from top popularity to the under-dog. .

Although Ms May claims that her dogs are recognised by several clubs and registries and her dog has won 'best male under 24mths' there is no mention made of the show venue, judge, dates or any other verifiable information one would expect.
Ms May is still refusing to give those dealing with her a genuine address although since she met a recent buyer at a Green Bay park in Dunedin we can assume she still lives down that way. This recent buyer was promised papers etc but having taken the dog is now unable to get the paperwork as per Ms May's usual M.O.
We can only say again: Buyer Beware.
This operator is an ideal example of who not to buy from or sell to. We thank her for provding us with this prime example.
Always check with the issuing veterinarian that paperwork supplied is genuine and don't accept photocopies. Genuine breeders supply originals.
